As the Christmas shopping has continued, I’ve racked up a number of the Discover Card $20 gift cards. The last time I picked up my cards, I chatted briefly with the Discover Card representative. Free Money From Chase? I’ll Take it!

I opened up a piece of mail from Chase (I have a Chase Rewards credit card) the other day only to find a cute little $15 check for me. The enclosed letter explained how the check was my gift, but that by cashing it, I was enrolling myself in the Chase Fraud Detector.
Being Cheap Versus Being Stingy

People who are obsessed with money are commonly stereotyped as being cheap. And while I don’t consider myself obsessed with money, I cannot deny the fact that I find it interesting and devote a fair amount of my life thinking about it. But I certainly will deny anyone calling me cheap. See… I consider myself stingy, but definitely not cheap.
